Ascension of Light

Book One:Chronicles of the Endless

The Endless…

They are beings immune to age and imbued with godlike abilities. Their struggle for power has gone mostly unnoticed since the Immortal War, 3000 years ago, when the Dwarves divided the world at the Dwarf Gate and the Mages of the Nine Powers dropped the peak of Cairn on the Shrine of the Endless.

To Raine and the small hunting village of Woodbridge, these events are legends. myths. tales told to children. But when a strange traveler comes to Raine’s village just as he’s preparing for servitude, all that changes. From that moment on, Raine’s life will never be the same.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book from Joseph Melnik! From start to finish I was hooked. I’m a fan of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series and this book has some similarities but is wholly original and fresh. I can’t wait to see where the story goes and how the characters develop in The Dark Tide.

"Great fantasy adventure!"

Praise & Reviews

I enjoyed this book. The characters are interesting, the story is enjoyable and moves along. I enjoyed the use of magic and look forward to sequels to learn more about the characters, the world and the Endless.

"Fast Paced and Fun"

"Just finished and truly enjoyed the story. It’s exactly the kind of adventure I love to read... A little mix of Wheel of Time and Lord of the Rings but a tale all on its own."

Can't wait for 'The Dark Tide'

About Joseph Melnik

As a mischievous child prone to mischievous deeds, Joseph Melnik was well acquainted with the phrase, “Go to your room!” There, he found little else to do but read. Thanks to his innate ability to find trouble, and his mother’s fondness for science fiction and fantasy, he had no choice but to develop a love for the fantastic.

Now, when he’s not enjoying nature with his wife or creating new worlds through games or stories with his three children, Joseph goes to his room as often as possible. Even when he isn’t in trouble.
