Undead

Skeletons are among the most common servants of Cronan, raised from the remains of the dead to serve his endless armies without question or fear. Stripped of flesh and all traces of their former lives, they possess no thoughts, emotions, or memories—only an unwavering obedience to the will that commands them.

Though lacking the strength they once possessed in life, skeletons are tireless warriors. They require neither food nor rest and will pursue their orders until their bodies are shattered beyond repair. Many are armed with whatever weapons they carried in life, while others are hastily equipped from the environment surrounding them.

The condition of a skeleton often reveals the passage of time. Freshly raised skeletons retain clean, sturdy bones, while older servants bear cracked ribs, broken limbs, or missing pieces held together by dark magic alone. Even after suffering grievous damage, they continue to fight until completely destroyed.

To the people of Ambrose, the sight of animated bones is a grim reminder that for some, death is not the end.
